Not always — but it depends on what you’re hanging and how much weight it needs to support. A towel bar with two anchor points and light use can safely mount to drywall, while a heavy shelf or grab bar should always tie into at least one stud.
When studs aren’t in the perfect spot, we use heavy-duty toggle anchors instead of the cheap plastic ones that usually come with store-bought fixtures. Toggle anchors expand behind the drywall, gripping a much larger surface area so the fixture stays tight even under repeated use or minor pulls. It’s a small difference that makes a big impact — your hardware stays solid and straight for years, not months.
A common standard is around 42–48 inches above the floor, but we adjust based on your habits (kids, height, layout) so the towel hangs naturally.
We will happily include you in the mounting process so you can reach out where you would expect to grab a towel from and we can install the hardware there.
Yes — it’s definitely possible with the right tools, but it’s not completely risk-free. We typically recommend mounting into drywall or a grout line when the layout allows, since that avoids the chance of damaging the tile surface.
If we do need to drill directly into tile, we use specialized tile bits, slow drill speeds, and water lubrication to keep things cool and prevent cracking. Even with perfect technique, though, tile can be unpredictable — especially older or brittle types. If you don’t have spare tiles on hand, it’s important to understand there’s always a small risk, and we’ll walk you through that before we start.
It all depends on how it’s mounted and what it’s expected to support. A properly installed grab bar anchored into solid studs can typically handle 250–300 pounds or more, meeting ADA safety standards. When studs aren’t in the ideal location, we use toggle anchors rated for several hundred pounds each, giving the fixture plenty of holding strength across drywall or plaster.
For shelves and other accessories, the load capacity varies by design, material, and how the weight is distributed. That’s why we always ask about what you plan to store or hang — so we can match the correct anchors and mounting method to your needs. The goal is simple: every fixture we install feels solid, safe, and built to last.
Most smaller items — like towel bars, rings, or hooks — take about 15–30 minutes each to install once the layout is set. Larger projects such as vanities, mirrors, or lighting fixtures typically run 1–3 hours, depending on complexity, wall type, and access.
If you have several pieces you’d like installed at once, ask about our Half- and Full-Day Helper Plans — they offer better overall value than per-item pricing and let us knock out multiple projects in one efficient visit.
It helps a lot if you already have a good idea of where you want things placed before we arrive. Even rough pencil marks or painter’s tape on the wall are useful starting points. We’ll double-check all measurements, make sure everything is level, centered, and secure, handle any cleanup, and leave you ready to enjoy your updated space immediately.
Yes — we always address any old holes or marks left behind by previous hardware. If we’re replacing an existing towel bar, shelf, or hook, we’ll remove old anchors, patch the holes, and smooth the surface so it’s ready for paint or touch-up.
Our goal is a clean, finished result — no exposed drywall, no crumbling holes, and no half-done look. We can also help color-match touch-up paint if you have it on hand, ensuring your bathroom looks refreshed, not just “worked on.”
Absolutely — in fact, we almost prefer it. You should have bathroom hardware that fits your taste, your space, and your daily routine. Once you’ve found pieces you love, we’ll make sure they’re installed properly, securely, and in the best location for function and appearance.
We’re also happy to help if you’re still deciding. We can point you toward brands and products we’ve had great success with for other clients. You pick what you love; we’ll handle the rest.
We’ll always help identify what finish you currently have — whether it’s chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, or oil-rubbed bronze — and point you toward options that coordinate well. However, even within the same finish name, different brands can vary slightly in color and sheen, so an exact match isn’t always possible.
Our goal is to make your bathroom feel cohesive, not mismatched. If a perfect finish match isn’t available, we’ll help you choose pieces that blend naturally and look intentional once installed. In many cases, small variations actually enhance the design by adding subtle contrast and depth.
While we can’t extend or enforce any manufacturer warranties on the products themselves, we do stand firmly behind our workmanship. Every installation we complete is covered by a one-year labor warranty. If something we installed comes loose or shifts under normal use within that first year, we’ll come back and fix it at no charge.
If the fixture itself fails — such as a broken bracket or cracked mount — and it’s a product we didn’t supply, we’re happy to help assess and repair it, but material or replacement costs may apply. Our goal is always the same: keep your bathroom hardware looking and performing its best long after we leave.
If we encounter incompatible wiring, older plumbing, or unexpected conditions, we’ll pause and give you a clear, written quote for any extra work before proceeding.
