Helper for a Day is $700 and includes 8 labor hours focused on your to-do list and priorities for the day. In most cases, that means one person on site for a full working day. For larger jobs, or jobs that involve heavier lifting and require two people on site, those same 8 labor hours are split across two workers, which means about 4 hours on site with a two-person crew.
Helper for a Day includes the labor time you purchased, the basic tools and equipment needed for most common tasks, and a clear scope of work based on what was approved during the walkthrough. The goal is to use that scheduled time as efficiently as possible on the priorities we agreed on, whether that is outdoor cleanup, installation work, punch list items, or a mix of projects. If the job calls for larger equipment, special materials, haul-away, disposal, or anything outside the approved scope, we will go over that separately before moving forward.
Helper for a Day includes labor and basic tools only unless other items are specifically listed in your estimate. Materials, specialty products, dump fees, haul-away, disposal, and any work outside the approved scope are not included by default. If something extra is needed to complete the job, we will talk through it with you and get approval before adding anything on.
Yes. Helper for a Day can be paired with materials or add-on services depending on what you want to accomplish. You can provide materials like mulch, plants, fixtures, shelving, or other project items and have us install or work with them during the day, or in many cases we can provide those materials for you separately. Common add-ons include mulch and plants, fixture swaps, haul-away, dump runs, debris removal, and other project-specific materials or support services. It is a flexible way to get more done without pricing every small task as its own separate visit.
The easiest way to get started is to text us your to-do list, a few photos, and your location. That helps us understand the work you want done and see whether Helper for a Day is the right fit. If it is, we will schedule a walkthrough with you to review the areas you want serviced, confirm expectations, and make sure we are aligned on the results you want. After the walkthrough, we will send you an estimate to approve online, along with the next step for getting your payment set up. We can send everything by text or email, whichever is easier for you.
Once you approve the work and your deposit is received, you are next on our list for open service days. We will give you an estimated service date during the walkthrough, but scheduling can shift depending on weather and how other projects move throughout the week. Even interior projects can be affected when weather causes exterior work to get reshuffled. If anything changes, we do our best to keep you updated as early and as clearly as possible.
On the day of the job, we will be working on the approved scope of work the entire time, with a focus on the priorities we already discussed. If anything comes up that was not part of the plan, we will notify you as soon as possible before moving forward. That could include things like heavier overgrowth than expected, hidden debris, access limitations, or extra materials needed to complete the work properly. We want to keep communication clear so there are no surprises and any changes are approved before they are added to the job.
Before the job, we need approval of the estimate, your deposit, and a walkthrough so we can make sure we are aligned on the scope of work and expectations. On the day of the job, we ask that the driveway be clear so we have full access for trucks, tools, materials, and equipment, and so parked vehicles are not put at risk from debris or active work. We love dogs and animals, but we do ask that pets be kept away from the work area so they stay safe and do not accidentally get out while we are coming and going.
We accept cash, check, and credit card, although credit card is our preferred payment method. We use Square for payment processing and can send invoices, accept tap to pay, and offer other convenient payment options when needed. Any deposit you make will go toward your final balance, and payment is due upon completion of the job. Payments received more than 5 days after service may be subject to a late fee.
