Home Painting, Handyman, and Landscaping—All in One Local Pro.

Built on honesty, craftsmanship, and clear communication — Colin Can Help makes home improvement simple, reliable, and done right the first time.

Colin Can Help started with a simple idea: homeowners deserve skilled help they can actually trust. No run-around quotes, no disappearing contractors — just honest work, fair pricing, and results that speak for themselves. Whether it’s a small repair, a full room repaint, or getting your yard back under control, our goal is to leave every home looking better — and every client feeling confident about who they hired.

We believe in transparency from the first conversation to the final cleanup. You’ll always know what’s being done, why it’s needed, and how long it will take — in plain language, not contractor jargon. We respect your time and money, so if something changes, you’ll hear it from us right away. When we set a deadline, we hit it. When we make a promise, we keep it.

Colin runs most projects solo to keep overhead low and quality high. For larger or heavier jobs, he calls in trusted local tradesmen who’ve worked alongside him for years — people who share the same standard of care and professionalism. Beyond the tools and truck, Colin brings a teacher’s mindset to every job. He loves helping homeowners understand their homes better, because knowledge builds confidence — and that’s what lasting home improvement is really about.

Need Help Around the House?

Questions We Get All the Time

From timelines to travel distance — here’s everything you’d ask if we were chatting over coffee.
Do you really handle all the work yourself?

Most of the time, it’s Colin himself — start to finish. Unless the project involves something too large for one person to handle, has a tight turnaround, or requires specialized equipment, Colin is the one doing the work in your home.

For the few jobs that need extra hands, he brings in trusted tradesmen he’s worked with for years — many of whom have since started their own companies or are the same pros he hires for his own home. That way, every project gets done safely, efficiently, and with the same standard of care Colin Can Help is known for.

What kinds of projects do you take on?

We try to be the people you call when you want things done right without having to juggle a bunch of different contractors. That means we handle:

  • Painting: walls, ceilings, trim, decks, fences, and small exteriors

  • Handyman Repairs: drywall fixes, faucet and fixture swaps, ceiling fans, smoke detectors, and other “honey-do” list items

  • Landscaping: mulch installs, flower bed cleanups, trimming, and seasonal maintenance

  • Point-of-Sale Repairs: fast, reliable help for real estate transactions and inspection lists

We don’t do roofing, HVAC, or large-scale electrical — but we’re happy to point you toward someone reliable if you need those services.

How soon can I schedule a project?

Spring and summer are our busiest seasons, with most projects booking about 3–4 weeks out. In the colder months, we’re usually around 2–3 weeks out, depending on the type of job. Interior projects stay steady all year, and outdoor work shifts with the weather.

If you’ve got a tight deadline — maybe you’re prepping to sell or something unexpected pops up — just let us know. We’ll do our best to shuffle things around and get you taken care of. For true emergency repairs (like leaks, safety hazards, or urgent point-of-sale issues), we can often find a same-week spot to get things stabilized fast.

Clear communication upfront helps us plan efficiently and keeps every job on schedule without cutting corners.

How should I prepare for your visit?

Nothing crazy — just make sure we can get to the work area safely and easily. Move breakables or valuables out of the way, clear any furniture that blocks access, and keep pets secure if we’ll be going in and out.

If we’re painting, a quick dust wipe on the walls helps, but you don’t need to deep clean or move everything out. We’ll handle most of the prep once we’re there.

Do you supply materials, or should I buy them?

We include all the materials needed for your project unless you specifically want to provide something. Sometimes clients have a favorite light fixture or paint brand — that’s no problem.

We usually prefer to bring materials ourselves because we know which products perform best, hold up longer, and look right. It saves you time and guarantees the results we stand behind.

How much do your services cost?

Every job is different, but here’s a general idea so you know what to expect:

  • Small handyman visits usually start around $100–$150

  • Half-day projects (like light repairs or touch-ups) average $300–$400

  • Full-day projects (painting rooms, yard makeovers, POS prep) often range $500–$800+

We don’t do “surprise” pricing. You’ll always get a clear, written estimate before work starts, and if something changes mid-job, we’ll talk about it first.

How do deposits and payments work?

Most jobs require a small deposit to lock in your spot, with the balance due once the work is finished and approved. Everything runs through HoneyBook, so you can pay securely online with a card or transfer.

Every quote is itemized and clear — you’ll know exactly what’s included, what’s optional, and what’s due when.

Do you guarantee your work?

Absolutely. All labor comes with a one-year workmanship guarantee. If something we installed or repaired comes loose under normal use, we’ll come back and fix it — no charge.

If a product fails that we didn’t supply (like a fixture that breaks or a faucet that leaks), we’ll still help however we can — we just may need to charge for replacement time or materials.

What happens if something unexpected comes up during the job?

Stuff happens — especially in older homes. If we open something up and find hidden damage, rot, or anything that changes the scope, we’ll stop immediately and show you what’s going on.

We’ll explain your options, give updated pricing before doing extra work, and only move forward once you’re comfortable. The goal is zero surprises — just good communication and solid results.
